Why hello there, dandies, lions and --- absolutely --- every one of you!
I invite you to travel on a dandelion safari with us and then, invite these "Dandy Lions" back into your home. (I promise these lions don't bite and can be trusted not to roar at bedtime. )
Jump with me below for a step-by-step and template for you to get started!
Dandelion, Card Stock, Adhesive (glue or double-sided tape), Drawing tool, (we used pens). Scissor
1. Collect Dandelions
2. Cut body and tail from card stock. (see template below)
3. Draw Face and attach to dandelion. We used glue.
4. Attach dandelion to the tip of the tail, if desired, and attach tail. We cut a small slit in the area we wanted to attach the tail and slid the tail in place. For extra adherence, use double sided tape.
5. Use your imagination.

This past week, this humble weed stood out to me and made the reason so clear for starting this blog: the wish to spread simple beauty, imagination, and creativity. I'm thrilled to meet you here again and to be leaping back in today. One of my favorite things to do, with the kids, is to take walks -- we walk, we talk; we collect things that lead to ideas. In the past few weeks, I've been asked to share nature crafts several times and it's given me fuel for thought on this subject. We've tried many ideas but, these are a project that I just can't wait to get into your hands and to see what you do!
With Spring positively bursting, I've been head over heels, bursting with Spring Flower Inspiration myself, since we last met. (I'm so terribly sorry that it's been so long but, I hope that you just peruse the blog for past projects, we have so much here!) Spring has actually lead to some new projects that I'm actually bursting-at-the-seams to share with you but, that's for another day.
For us, Dandelion Lions, were a relaxed morning moment of creativity, but, I can really imagine these being made in rain or shine; infact, I would love to see this as a part of a summer animal party! I'd love to see what you do. Let's start a Dandelion Pride together. If you're inspired by this post, I love to hear from you + see what you do with it. If you share these on Instagram or Facebook, please use the hashtag #willowdayproject and tag meat willowdaygram or share with me on Wllowday's Facebook Page. What works best for you? Is there another method that you'd prefer?
I do post regularly on Instagram (willowdaygram) and love meeting you there. If you're not on Instagram, I thought I'd share a few little snippets, below, of a few of my recent posts there.
I'm so very happy to meet you again and wish you an inspired, imaginative, day!
