Happy Monday!

Looking back one year ago, I can see that I was looking at our Spring flowers and thinking similarly.
We still have snow and this morning, as soon as the kids were off, I considered stepping back into my Winter routine of hitting the cross country trail nearby; but, realized: no, I'm ready for my running shoes. Our days are becoming longer and you wouldn't believe the effect these few meager extra daily minutes of sun have on a person. Honestly. I don't want to admit it, but living so far north shapes and bends you. Spring, I hear your whisper. Do you, too?
We're back from our 2 week Winter Break*. School starts today and as our crew slung their backpacks over their shoulders, miraculously dressed in matching socks and easily discussed intricately coordinated schedules replacing our pjama mornings, vacation journals, ski attire and board game pacing, it was clear that everyone was refreshed. I hope that it's the same with you, too and that you can hear the promising whisper of flowers. Happy Monday!
(*note: Yes, we follow the French school schedule: although we start a little earlier and end later in the year than others; on average, we have a break every 6 weeks. For an international family, this has worked very well for us. What's it like in your area of the world?)

Dear Willow Day! You always brighten up my days either if it is nice and sunny outside or gloomy and sad inside and in my mood. Thank you for that, I am very grateful and please keep on doing this wonderful job and congratulations for your excellent ideas and photos! Orsi
ReplyDeleteYou're just brightened mine! Thank you so much.
DeleteI, too, went spring flower crazy this weekend and now my usual year-round plants are supplanted by some new orchids (not all of mine made it through the winter :/), orange roses, and yellow daffodils. Makes me so happy! Are you on Instagram by the way?
ReplyDeleteThat inner clock is amazing, isn't it!? It sounds beautiful.
DeleteThank you for asking about Instagram -- I am in the process of trying to re-organize. I am not currently there but, will be soon. Are you? (long shot: any links or tips for getting the "Pin it" icon on the bottom on each post? I've spent hours trying to get this working...)
Ooo, great, would love to connect with you on Instagram once you're there (I thought of it because I had taken photos of my springy flowers and posted them yesterday :) ).
DeleteAs for getting the "Pin it" icon for Pinterest, not sure how to do that. I don't use that feature, so I've never had to try to code it. Just looked for tips on how and found these articles. Maybe they'll help?
