Lion or lamb

Happy Weekend and Happy March! Has March entered like a lion or a lamb in your area of the world?

Are you familiar with this?  Is it an old American wive's tale, perhaps? The expression goes: If March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb or vice versa. I haven't heard it in Sweden and don't think it holds true here, but it did in the northern area of the US where I grew up.

We have a lot of family birthdays in March and were recently remarking about one of my Great-Grandmother's March birthdays with one year being so warm that it was celebrated in short sleeves with a picnic outside and another with family stranded in a severe blizzard. I have similar memories for all family March birthdays. Is this March weather where you live?

My perception of March in Sweden is that I've never seen the Lion-Lamb expression at work here -- although it could be true for.. May! I've experienced both extremes, to my shock, in May, living in Stockholm.  Although I grew up in what I considered to be north,  I'm constantly amazed how much further north we are living here.  What about you? What's March like in your area of the world?

Kitchen Love I think this kitchen has given me the inspiration I needed to fix ours without tearing down half of our house! I absolutely love the combination of white and wood.
