When I first laid my eyes on a landscape by painter, Paul Ferney, click here, I bookmarked his site and made a mental note: plan a trip to California. When I returned, I found the "Let Them Eat Cake," exhibit, click here and wanted to fill our new kitchen with these paintings of chocolate and yellow cakes.
Last, serendipitously, the timing was perfect as I dropped in, and found that he had just announced spots in a commission project. I knew exactly what to commission: a landscape of a village in southern France, where we had had our second wedding (or "benediction" wedding, as we like to refer to this second European celebration).
Sometimes it's well worth planning ahead. We're now in the US on our summer vacation. One thing on my summer to-do list: take a photo of our first wedding location, (US) in order to commission this missing pair. Is original art something you value, too? What do you think about when you're decorating? I'd love to hear from you.
