Do you ever open a coconut at home? We did this last week and now, I'm wondering why I didn't do this earlier. (Keep in mind, I am from the 4 season part of the US and coconuts were definitely not on our everyday menus growing up.) The kids had been eyeing these all winter and had all but given up on me. It really wasn't the operation I expected and the kids were so dazzled by this. I will definitely do it again.

  1. I can't believe here I am in coconut paradise, and I have yet to try this at home! We do buy the water when ever we see someone selling it on the side of the road. I believe it is truely the only thing that hydrates down here. But I am completely inspired to now chop one up myself.
