We toured the Lubéron to find the last cherry trees in bloom, yesterday. Locals weren't impressed with the heat but, we were. Returning from this scene, we received news of snow back home, from our Stockholm friends! Luckily, the snow sounds like it has melted away, as fast as it arrived; but, we're savoring these blue skies all the more!
Barcelona, Provence, and time together, has been fantastic. I can't wait to share more when we return. I have to admit that I've been almost entirely unplugged, except to keep up my weekly posts, while we've been traveling. Tonight, we've just arrived back in Barcelona and are about to run to the seaside area of Barcelonet to see the aquarium and to scout out a great restaurant tip.
I am trying to post every week day but am a little uncertain how I'll manage in the next 24 hours since it is our last travel day. After the luxury of not cooking for the past week, I'm feeling a little inspired again and find myself thinking menus. I am in love with this recipe for saag-paneer, (using haloumi, instead) and know I'll make it this week. (Will the kids, is the question? I think I'll try it in tortillas for them, like quesadillas.) Another recipe that I really want to try this, shaved-fennel-salad. Spring flavours and probably a little tapas inspiration in the weeks ahead! Happy Monday!
