LETTER AND DREAMS TO ROALD DAHL

I found this post at cupojoehere.  It's so tender and positively precious. I asked her if I could share it with you.

A LITTLE GIRL'S LETTER TO ROALD DAHL: (from cupojo)

A seven year old little girl, Amy, wrote Roald Dahl, a letter and using oil, paper and glitter, included a bottle that contained: her dreams. The author was so moved, this was his response.

(You can read it and more, in it's original form at cupojoe, here.  letter from Amy herself, who is on twitter; via LettersofNote)
Do your children read Roald Dahl? In addition to the movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, our children's favorite books, by him, are: Mathilda,  James and the Big Peach and The Witches.

  1. This is so sweet. And, yes, we're big fans of Roald Dahl around here. We haven't read The Witches, though. Will have to check that out...

I linked to your embroidered children's artwork post today. I love that idea.

    1. I'm so glad you thought so, too. This was one of those small stories that bring a little magic, isn't it.
I'm thrilled that you are sharing my embroidered children's artwork. I think it brings pleasure to parent and child alike!
Last, our daughter is an avid reader. I can't keep up with her. (She's just turned 9.) I confess that I have actually not caught up to her and read The Witches, either; however, she told me to include it on the list... it sounds like it would be a good read close to Halloween, doesn't it?
