GIFT WRAP SERIES #11: ORIGAMI BASKETS

Gift Wrap Series #11: Origami Easter Baskets
This week I would like to bring you a gift wrap that can be used both for gift giving or for an Easter Basket. The kids and I have begun large scale versions of these for their Easter Baskets.

Paper Grass for basket lining or traditional baskets aren't traditional at Easter time in Sweden. We've turned this problem into a fun solution: the kids love to get out our paper shredder to make our own paper grass. I'm in love with the colors and textures achieved this way!

Instructions:

Make two origami boxes.
Make handles (below).
Assemble.
Fill.
Attach card.
Happy Giving.

HOW TO ADD HANDLES TO THE BOX:

How-to:
1) Fit paper to box. Choose how thick you would like the band. Cut.
2) Reinforce the handle by triple folding it lengthwise.
3) Fit the handle to the top of the box. Cut two holes on both sides of the handle,
through both the handle and the box, along the bottom.
4) Secure the handle to the box by binding it with ribbon or string. Tie securely inside the box.
5) Assemble the box: Top with handle will fit over the bottom.
