GIFT WRAP #5: Marshmallow Prints

GIFT WRAP #5:
MARSHMALLOW PRINT
WRAPPING PAPER
Happy Friday!
It's official: the Gift Wrap Series will be a feature every Friday. Today, I want to bring you the easiest print method ever: Marshmallow Prints!

I love print-making. You could make these, as well, with pencil erasers but, I've seen a lot of pencil eraser prints and wanted to come up with something else! Marshmallows make such a nice, large dot. Wouldn't you love to make these as a kid, too? They have the perfect pudge to grab in your hand, have great print surfaces, and come in varied shapes.

Marshmallow Print-How-To:
Supplies:
Scissors
Tape
Craft Paper
Paint (acrylic or tempera are what I use.)
Marshmallows
Ribbon
Paint Palate or Paper Plate
Using a paint palette or paper plate, set a small amount of paint on the surface. Collect the marshmallows you would like to use. (I used one large and one small for this). Dip the marshmallow in the paint and press the marshmallows on the paper in a pattern that you like. Let paper dry and you are ready for gift wrapping.

HOW-TO MAKE SNOW BALL GIFT WRAP:  This feathery boa ribbon creates a snowball effect. Feather ribbon is available at local fabric stores. First, wrap the package, traditionally, with the printed paper, then cut 8 inches of feather boa. Form a circular shape with this piece of boa and tape the ends together. Once complete, take a second piece of tape to reinforce this seam. (Place sticky side, against sticky side.) Once the circular shape is formed, tape it in the middle of your package, seam-side down. Add a card and this snowy package is ready.
