I was recently looking through our family photo album and noticed that we have a February tradition: blue Hydrangea. The discovery didn't come as a surprise because I am crazy about this color and think that this periwinkle plant promises blue skies ahead!

Shades of Blue: It is a tradition, here in Sweden, to give flowers as a hostess gift. Florists are abundant and these sweet, Grape Hyacinth, were a welcome addition to our home. Are flowers a hostess-gift-tradition where you live, too?

  1. I absolutely love blue hydrangeas too! They enhance any room and can be cut and used in a tight bunch or a single stem in a thin, narrow vase. One of the most beautiful and versatile flowers and so happy that they've become more readily available in the Stockholm area.

Thank you!
