Variation one: Small dots Confetti

Gift Wrap Series Number One: Confetti Gift Wrap

Happy Friday!
I'm kicking off a gift wrapping series, largely inspired by kids for kids. Like us, do you have kid's birthday parties? I love packaging and this in one of my favorites! Shouldn't opening the present be a part of the magic and an experience? This confetti wrapping paper idea is one that we have returned to time and time again. I love confetti, but not in my rugs. To see how, continue below:

Variation two: Big Dots Confetti

Supplies (Upper left)
confetti (buy or make with hole punch and colorful paper)
wrapping tape
plain wrapping paper

Upper Right: Make confetti
Bottom row: prepare cellophane, place confetti on cellophane in middle.
Now, place wrapped package, right-side down, on the confetti with seams up and wrap package with the cellophane layer classically.

How to:
Make confetti.
Wrap present in plain paper.
Wrap cellophane around the package and seal one end only.
(see above photos)
Place the confetti inside the cellophane and seal.
Perfect: confetti sealed in the cellophane and a party in the package!

Have fun giving!

  1. This is such a clever idea. I'm having trouble trying to figure it out though. Does the confetti shake around inside the pouch you made of do you have to distribute it (the picture shows it's in all four corners) then wrap? Really Really Cute. I'm pinning it.

    1. Thank you! Yes, the confetti shakes around between the double layers: the bottom layer is a traditionally wrapped package in a color and the outer layer is transparent wrapping paper so that you can see the confetti that is between these two layers. I hope it works for you. This has been one of my favorite go-to wrapping styles for years! Happy Wrapping.

Thank you!
